Living together is cohabitation. It is generally done among people who are not married with each other. But they do have a committed relationship. It can be compared a relationship resembling a marriage.
People living together without marriage have to share most of the domestic responsibilities. There may be a division of work with mutual agreement. They are bonded yet free to move away if they do not feel attracted to each other anymore. There is no legal commitment in a live in relationship.

- If you have fantasies, there is no use denying them. It may affect the couple’s sex life. Happy sex life helps in keeping the relationship healthy and long.
- Over sensitiveness often hurts such relationships. Couple must learn to take things lightly instead of taking it very seriously and make an ego issue.
- Both the partners should be conscious of their finances and try save money for the rainy days.
- Both of the partners must be clear to each other about their dislikes and should honour other’s opinions. Trespassing into one another’s personal lives has its repercussions, so know your limitations.
- Both have the responsibility of ownerships. But it should be simple. Do not own your partner. He/she has his/her rights to choose friends, food or any such activities. Never interfere.
- You have to be accountable for yourself, each other and your living together set up. Say sorry when and where you make a mistake.
- Decide and honour that is important to you. Same goes with your live in partner.
- Do not try to be extra decent or formal with each other. If things do not work out, part as friends.
